Originario de \u00c1lamos, fue presidente municipal de Navojoa de 1985 a 1988, etapa en la que impuls\u00f3 acciones enfocadas al desarrollo social y al fortalecimiento institucional del municipio.<\/h5>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Su trayectoria tambi\u00e9n alcanz\u00f3 el \u00e1mbito nacional como diputado federal en la LVIII Legislatura (2000\u20132003), donde represent\u00f3 a Sonora.<\/p>\n<p>En el terreno deportivo, fue una figura clave del b\u00e9isbol profesional. Form\u00f3 parte de la directiva de los Mayos de Navojoa, presidi\u00f3 en dos periodos la Liga Mexicana del Pac\u00edfico y colabor\u00f3 con los Naranjeros de Hermosillo.
